Yes. Skirt boards are scribed to follow each tread and riser so there are no gaps, the ends are finished so no raw edge shows, and everything is caulked and painted.
That is the goal. We take a piece of your existing casing or baseboard to match its profile and width, and when a profile is no longer made, we show you the closest options before anything is cut.
Wood moves with the seasons, and joints that were only nailed and caulked open first. Miters are glued and pinned, inside corners are coped, and the trim is fastened into the framing so the joints stay closed.
Yes. A new floor often leaves casing and stair trim sitting too high or too low, and we reset or replace it to meet the new surface.
Yes. Nail holes are filled, joints caulked, and the trim primed and painted, so it is finished when we leave. If you would rather have stained wood, we finish it that way instead. The work carries a 5-year workmanship warranty.
