“They repaired the dry wall in my basement. He always called ahead and kept me informed of the progress. The wall looked like new when he finished. I highly recommend him.””
New floors change the height of everything they meet. We reset the stair trim and casing to sit right on the new floor.
About / Value Proposition
When new LVP or laminate goes down, door casings that used to reach the floor can end up short or buried, and the trim along the stairs no longer lines up with the treads. In Legacy Park and Downtown Kennesaw homes that have just had new floors, we reset or replace the casing so it lands on the new surface, replace the pieces that can't be saved, and fit new skirt boards and stair trim to the new treads and risers. Everything is caulked and painted, so the floor and the trim look like they went in together.
Our trim carpentry comes with a 5-year workmanship warranty.

How we work
How we bring the trim in a Kennesaw home back in line with a new floor.
We look at every opening and the stairs where the new floor meets them, and give you an itemized quote.
Casing is reset or replaced to land on the new floor, and skirt boards and stair trim are fitted to the new treads.
Joints are caulked, the trim is painted, and we walk the rooms and the stairs with you.

Yes. Kennesaw is one of our regular service areas, and we schedule trim carpentry year-round. Kennesaw sees the same humid summers and intense spring pollen as the rest of north Cobb, so we schedule exterior work for the drier late-spring-through-fall window and prep surfaces thoroughly for adhesion.
Residential work is permitted through the City of Kennesaw, or through Cobb County for unincorporated addresses. Trim Carpentry projects rarely need a permit on their own, but we confirm before scheduling so nothing stalls mid-job.
Yes. We cover all of Kennesaw and the surrounding Cobb County, including Downtown Kennesaw, Legacy Park, in ZIP codes 30144, 30152, 30156. Send us your address and we'll confirm the schedule for your area.
Which rooms and openings get trim, the profile and material you pick, and whether old trim comes off first set the price. Painting is its own line in the free, itemized estimate.
Door and window casing, stair skirt boards and stair trim, window stools and aprons, cased openings, and the pieces that tie them into baseboards, crown molding, and wainscoting.
Yes. Skirt boards are scribed to follow each tread and riser so there are no gaps, the ends are finished so no raw edge shows, and everything is caulked and painted.
That is the goal. We take a piece of your existing casing or baseboard to match its profile and width, and when a profile is no longer made, we show you the closest options before anything is cut.
Section / About
For more than ten years we've worked on Kennesaw homes, and since we install floors too, we know exactly where trim goes wrong when a new floor goes in: short casings, gaps at the stairs, and transitions that don't line up.
Filling the gap under a casing with caulk, or leaving old stair trim over new treads, makes a new floor look unfinished. We reset or replace the trim so it lands on the floor, and your Kennesaw home looks finished from the front door to the top step.
