“They repaired the dry wall in my basement. He always called ahead and kept me informed of the progress. The wall looked like new when he finished. I highly recommend him.””
A new deck needs time before its first coat. We wait for the wood, then stain it so the color soaks in evenly.
About / Value Proposition
New pressure-treated lumber arrives wet from the treatment, and stain applied too early sits on top of the boards instead of soaking in. That is how a brand-new deck ends up peeling long before it should. Our approach in Legacy Park and Downtown Kennesaw is simple: wash off the construction dust, let the boards dry, check them, and only then stain. One of our recent Kennesaw jobs was exactly that, a newly built deck pressure washed, left to dry, and finished in a solid stain for the even, opaque color the client asked for.
Our deck staining comes with a 5-year workmanship warranty.

How we work
How a new Kennesaw deck goes from raw lumber to finished color.
We look at the deck, check how dry the boards are, and give you a written quote with a realistic date for the stain.
We wash off construction dust and debris, mask the house and plants, and let the wood dry before anything else happens.
Solid, semi-transparent, or transparent, the stain goes on in even coats, each one dry before the next, and we walk the finished deck with you.
Brands We Trust
We work with industry-leading paints and materials for a durable, high-quality finish.
“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”

Kennesaw sees the same humid summers and intense spring pollen as the rest of north Cobb, so we schedule exterior work for the drier late-spring-through-fall window and prep surfaces thoroughly for adhesion.
Residential work is permitted through the City of Kennesaw, or through Cobb County for unincorporated addresses. Deck Staining projects rarely need a permit on their own, but we confirm before scheduling so nothing stalls mid-job.
Yes. We cover all of Kennesaw and the surrounding Cobb County, including Downtown Kennesaw, Legacy Park, in ZIP codes 30144, 30152, 30156. Send us your address and we'll confirm the schedule for your area.
The size of the deck, how many railings and stairs it has, the condition of the wood, and whether old stain has to come off first set the price. The estimate is free and itemized, with cleaning, repairs, and stain on separate lines.
Transparent and semi-transparent stains soak into the wood and let the grain show. Solid stain covers more like paint and hides worn boards, patches, and old color. On an older deck with mismatched boards, solid usually looks best; on newer wood with good grain, semi-transparent shows it off.
It depends on sun, shade, and foot traffic. Floor boards and stair treads wear first, and railings hold up longer. When water stops beading on the boards or the color looks washed out, a maintenance coat brings the deck back for less than starting over.
Every time. Stain only bonds to clean, dry wood, so the deck is washed to remove dirt, mildew, and the gray layer of weathered fibers, then left to dry completely before any stain goes on.
Section / About
For more than ten years we've worked on Kennesaw homes, and with a new deck the prep decides everything. The wood has to be clean and dry, the house and plants masked against overspray, and the stain built up in coats that each get time to dry.
Staining a deck the week it is finished is tempting, and it's the shortcut that fails first. We'd rather tell you to wait and come back when the boards are ready, so the first coat on your Kennesaw deck is one that lasts.
